With the Metalbone Carbon CTRL 2026, you get a control-focused racket that delivers precision, comfort and stability in one complete setup. This model is designed for experienced players who want a round head shape and a centered sweetspot, allowing you to place the ball with confidence both at the net and when defending under pressure. The combination of a neutral balance, a more flexible carbon surface and Adidas’ Soft Performance foam provides a comfortable and highly playable impact feel that supports you in fast-paced rallies.
Racket Construction
The Metalbone Carbon CTRL 2026 features a round design, weighs 360–375 grams and comes with a neutral balance that distributes the weight evenly throughout the racket. This gives you a calm, stable and easily controlled output that makes it easier to guide your placements and react quickly in pressured situations. With its centered sweetspot, you get a predictable and precise response whether you play flat, use slice or make fine adjustments close to the net.
The core is built with EVA Soft Performance, providing a comfortable contact with the ball and a forgiving response, especially when you don’t hit perfectly clean. The hitting surface is made from Carbon 6K, a medium-flex carbon weave that offers a solid mix of power and control without making the racket too demanding to play with. The surface includes Spin Blade Decal for added friction and improved ball grip when working with spin. Smart Holes Curve enhances grip and sweetspot stability, while the Extra Power Grip allows for a longer handle and increased stability on impact.

3 tips to extend the lifespan of your padel racket
1. Use a frame protector
Fit a frame protector to your racket to minimise damage from contact with the court glass or metal mesh. It is a simple addition that may not look like much, but it can help extend the life of your racket by protecting it from knocks and scratches.
2. Avoid extreme temperatures
Store your racket at a stable room temperature. Over time, both very high and very low temperatures can weaken the foam in the racket core and reduce performance. Avoid leaving your racket in places such as a cold car boot or close to a hot radiator.
3. Protect your racket during transport
Keep your racket in a bag or cover to protect it from scratches, dirt and knocks. This is especially important during transport or storage between matches, as proper storage helps reduce wear and tear.
3 tips to get the most out of your padel racket
1. Choose the right racket for your level and playing style
Choose a racket that matches your level and playing style. New players may benefit from a racket with a softer face and a large sweetspot, while more experienced players often prefer a stiffer construction with more emphasis on precision or power.
2. Replace your overgrip regularly
Replacing your overgrip regularly helps maintain a fresh grip and improves comfort and control. A worn grip can cause the racket to slip in your hand and put extra strain on your wrist and forearm during play.
3. Upgrade your racket when the time is right
Over time, the foam in the racket core loses its elasticity and performance. This means you will no longer get the same response from your shots. If you have been using the same racket for several seasons or notice a drop in its performance, it is a sign that it is time to invest in a new one.
