Babolat Counter Veron 2.6 is the ideal racket for you if you play with calmness, overview and patience. The racket is aimed at the controlled player who thrives in defence, reads the game well and waits for the right moment to turn the rally by counter-attacking.
Racket construction
The hybrid head shape combined with a slightly head-heavy balance gives you stability in defensive situations and extra help with power when the opportunity arises. At the same time, the racket feels forgiving on ball contact, making it easier to maintain a high level of quality even when the pace is high and reaction time is short.
The surface is built with Carbon Flex, where carbon and fibreglass work together to create a more flexible and comfortable hitting surface. This gives you easy access to power without the racket feeling hard or demanding to play with. The Black EVA core further contributes to a pleasant ball contact with good responsiveness and solid comfort, both in blocks at the net and in controlled shots from the back glass.
Counter Veron 2.6 vs Counter Viper and Counter Vertuo
Counter Veron 2.6 is positioned between the Vertuo and Viper series in Babolat’s range. You get more stability and precision than with Vertuo, but a more forgiving and comfort-oriented setup than with Viper. This makes the racket particularly suitable for advanced players who want a balanced racket that supports a tactical and controlled playing style.
With a weight of 365 grams, Babolat Counter Veron 2.6 is a strong choice for you if you rely on placement, patience and counter shots to turn rallies in your favour.

3 tips to extend the lifespan of your padel racket
1. Use a frame protector
Fit a frame protector to your racket to minimise damage from contact with the court glass or metal mesh. It is a simple addition that may not look like much, but it can help extend the life of your racket by protecting it from knocks and scratches.
2. Avoid extreme temperatures
Store your racket at a stable room temperature. Over time, both very high and very low temperatures can weaken the foam in the racket core and reduce performance. Avoid leaving your racket in places such as a cold car boot or close to a hot radiator.
3. Protect your racket during transport
Keep your racket in a bag or cover to protect it from scratches, dirt and knocks. This is especially important during transport or storage between matches, as proper storage helps reduce wear and tear.
3 tips to get the most out of your padel racket
1. Choose the right racket for your level and playing style
Choose a racket that matches your level and playing style. New players may benefit from a racket with a softer face and a large sweetspot, while more experienced players often prefer a stiffer construction with more emphasis on precision or power.
2. Replace your overgrip regularly
Replacing your overgrip regularly helps maintain a fresh grip and improves comfort and control. A worn grip can cause the racket to slip in your hand and put extra strain on your wrist and forearm during play.
3. Upgrade your racket when the time is right
Over time, the foam in the racket core loses its elasticity and performance. This means you will no longer get the same response from your shots. If you have been using the same racket for several seasons or notice a drop in its performance, it is a sign that it is time to invest in a new one.
