Babolat Technical Viper 2.5 is the ultimate choice for the offensive and technically skilled padel player who demands maximum power and precision in their shots.
The popular Technical Viper racket continues in this 2025 version, where Babolat has retained the proven features and construction that have made this racket so sought after. With its diamond-shaped head and head-heavy balance, the Technical Viper 2.5 is designed for the aggressive player who seeks significant weight transfer in shots like overheads and smashes. The racket’s surface is made from 12K carbon, providing a stiff and firm construction that ensures precise shots when the ball is struck in the sweet spot.
An exciting new feature of the 2.5 model is the sandpaper-like surface!
Babolat has also carried over several technological details that enhance the quality of the racket. These include the Vibrasorb System, which reduces vibrations from shots for improved comfort, while the rough, patterned surface in pure carbon allows for increased spin and effect in ball strikes. The adjustable wrist strap offers additional flexibility and functionality.
The Viper series stands out significantly from the Vertuo and Veron collections, being the only series with a pure carbon surface and a core composed of three different layers of EVA foam. This makes the Viper rackets the most powerful and precise in Babolat’s lineup, but they also require clean ball strikes to utilize the racket’s full potential.

Technologies in the Babolat Technical Viper 2.5
Holes Pattern System
Optimized placement and size of the holes relative to the racket’s specific head shape to enhance weight transfer and precision in shots.
X EVA
The core is designed as a sandwich construction of three different layers of EVA foam. The two outer layers are stiffer for extra power, while the inner layer is softer to provide more tolerance and comfort in slower shots.
Woven Carbon
The surface is woven with carbon fibers to deliver maximum power and precision.
3D Spin
Small textures on the surface, combined with a rough finish, provide even better control and grip on the ball.
Vibrasorb System
This technology uses a new elastomer material in graphite, integrated into the heart of the racket. It reduces vibrations in shots, minimizing the risk of injuries.
Smart Buttcap
A new concept that allows you to adjust the size of the strap or remove it entirely.

3 tips to extend the lifespan of your padel racket
1. Use a frame protector
Fit a frame protector to your racket to minimise damage from contact with the court glass or metal mesh. It is a simple addition that may not look like much, but it can help extend the life of your racket by protecting it from knocks and scratches.
2. Avoid extreme temperatures
Store your racket at a stable room temperature. Over time, both very high and very low temperatures can weaken the foam in the racket core and reduce performance. Avoid leaving your racket in places such as a cold car boot or close to a hot radiator.
3. Protect your racket during transport
Keep your racket in a bag or cover to protect it from scratches, dirt and knocks. This is especially important during transport or storage between matches, as proper storage helps reduce wear and tear.
3 tips to get the most out of your padel racket
1. Choose the right racket for your level and playing style
Choose a racket that matches your level and playing style. New players may benefit from a racket with a softer face and a large sweetspot, while more experienced players often prefer a stiffer construction with more emphasis on precision or power.
2. Replace your overgrip regularly
Replacing your overgrip regularly helps maintain a fresh grip and improves comfort and control. A worn grip can cause the racket to slip in your hand and put extra strain on your wrist and forearm during play.
3. Upgrade your racket when the time is right
Over time, the foam in the racket core loses its elasticity and performance. This means you will no longer get the same response from your shots. If you have been using the same racket for several seasons or notice a drop in its performance, it is a sign that it is time to invest in a new one.
