Low weight is the key idea behind RS Prime Team Light Edition 2.0 2026. At 350-360 grams, the racket is built for fast handling, so you can easily get it into position for the next shot. The head-light to neutral balance supports the lightweight feel in the hand, while the 45.5 cm length and extra-long grip make the model ideal for using a two-handed backhand.
The profile is not a pure control setup, however. The combined teardrop / diamond shape moves the impact area higher in the racket and gives it an offensive character, while the three-layer Japanese fibreglass hitting surface and Black Soft EVA core pull the playing feel in a soft and forgiving direction. That is why Prime Team Light Edition 2.0 suits you if you want a lightweight racket with comfort, stability and the ability to put pressure on the ball.
The hitting surface consists of three layers of Japanese fibreglass. This gives a soft feel on ball contact, while the Black Soft EVA core helps with off-centre hits. The Power Holes system enlarges the sweetspot and contributes stability in the hitting surface, so you can maintain quality in the ball strike during fast exchanges.
The Dynamic Hex frame profile helps you move the racket quickly through the air, and the Axis Force stabilizer in the bridge reduces vibrations on ball contact. The surface has a matte finish and is made to provide grip on the ball and spin.
Prime Team Light Edition 2.0 is the lightweight version in the series. If you want the same type of racket but with higher weight, it is also available as Prime Team Edition 2.0.

3 tips to extend the lifespan of your padel racket
1. Use a frame protector
Fit a frame protector to your racket to minimise damage from contact with the court glass or metal mesh. It is a simple addition that may not look like much, but it can help extend the life of your racket by protecting it from knocks and scratches.
2. Avoid extreme temperatures
Store your racket at a stable room temperature. Over time, both very high and very low temperatures can weaken the foam in the racket core and reduce performance. Avoid leaving your racket in places such as a cold car boot or close to a hot radiator.
3. Protect your racket during transport
Keep your racket in a bag or cover to protect it from scratches, dirt and knocks. This is especially important during transport or storage between matches, as proper storage helps reduce wear and tear.
3 tips to get the most out of your padel racket
1. Choose the right racket for your level and playing style
Choose a racket that matches your level and playing style. New players may benefit from a racket with a softer face and a large sweetspot, while more experienced players often prefer a stiffer construction with more emphasis on precision or power.
2. Replace your overgrip regularly
Replacing your overgrip regularly helps maintain a fresh grip and improves comfort and control. A worn grip can cause the racket to slip in your hand and put extra strain on your wrist and forearm during play.
3. Upgrade your racket when the time is right
Over time, the foam in the racket core loses its elasticity and performance. This means you will no longer get the same response from your shots. If you have been using the same racket for several seasons or notice a drop in its performance, it is a sign that it is time to invest in a new one.
