With the Adidas Arrow Hit CTRL 2026, you get a control-oriented racket in the new Arrow series that combines a stable playing feel with a modern weight and balance system. The new Intelligent Balance System (IBS) allows you to fine-tune the racket’s mass and responsiveness through weight channels along the frame, letting you tailor the racket’s characteristics precisely to your playing style. Arrow Hit CTRL is designed for the experienced player who wants to control the pace, minimize mistakes and still have enough power available when speeding up the rally.
Racket Construction
The Arrow Hit CTRL 2026 features a round head shape with a centered sweetspot, a neutral balance and a weight of 360–375 grams. This combination delivers a stable and comfortable playing experience, helping the racket work with you in both defensive situations and high-pressure exchanges close to the net. The Carbon Fiber frame and 38 mm profile ensure a solid construction with minimal twisting, giving you a cleaner and more controlled contact in all rallies.
The core uses EVA Soft Performance foam, providing a softer and more forgiving feel than harder control rackets, without sacrificing precise response. The hitting surface is constructed with ASC, an advanced carbon structure with an integrated Adidas logo that increases stiffness in key zones and offers a more direct and stable touch. Spin Blade Decal adds friction against the ball, helping you apply spin more effectively, while Smart Holes Curve supports the centered sweetspot and ensures a consistent response across the entire hitting surface. The extended Extra Power Grip adds extra inertia to the swing and supports players who actively use a two-handed backhand.
Adidas Arrow Hit CTRL 2026 vs. Adidas Metalbone CTRL 2026
The Arrow Hit CTRL 2026 differs from the Metalbone CTRL 2026 in two key areas. First, the Arrow model is generally heavier at 360–375 grams, while the Metalbone CTRL sits between 345–360 grams. This gives the Arrow Hit CTRL a more stable and calmer feel on impact, especially in defensive situations and tight exchanges near the net. Second, the Arrow series introduces the new Intelligent Balance System, which lets you add up to 9 grams of weight along the sides of the frame, allowing far more flexible balance adjustments than the Metalbone’s fixed Weight & Balance System, which uses screws placed in the head. The result is a more customizable control racket that gives you greater freedom to fine-tune how the racket reacts and where the mass is positioned.

3 tips to extend the lifespan of your padel racket
1. Use a frame protector
Fit a frame protector to your racket to minimise damage from contact with the court glass or metal mesh. It is a simple addition that may not look like much, but it can help extend the life of your racket by protecting it from knocks and scratches.
2. Avoid extreme temperatures
Store your racket at a stable room temperature. Over time, both very high and very low temperatures can weaken the foam in the racket core and reduce performance. Avoid leaving your racket in places such as a cold car boot or close to a hot radiator.
3. Protect your racket during transport
Keep your racket in a bag or cover to protect it from scratches, dirt and knocks. This is especially important during transport or storage between matches, as proper storage helps reduce wear and tear.
3 tips to get the most out of your padel racket
1. Choose the right racket for your level and playing style
Choose a racket that matches your level and playing style. New players may benefit from a racket with a softer face and a large sweetspot, while more experienced players often prefer a stiffer construction with more emphasis on precision or power.
2. Replace your overgrip regularly
Replacing your overgrip regularly helps maintain a fresh grip and improves comfort and control. A worn grip can cause the racket to slip in your hand and put extra strain on your wrist and forearm during play.
3. Upgrade your racket when the time is right
Over time, the foam in the racket core loses its elasticity and performance. This means you will no longer get the same response from your shots. If you have been using the same racket for several seasons or notice a drop in its performance, it is a sign that it is time to invest in a new one.
