With the Metalbone Carbon 2026, you get a power racket that combines the diamond shape from the top models with a softer and more forgiving playing feel. This racket is aimed at players at a good level who want plenty of speed in overheads but also value comfort that helps maintain a stable performance throughout the match. The high sweetspot, head-heavy balance and flexible carbon surface give you a racket where power and playability work hand in hand.

Racket Construction

The Metalbone Carbon 2026 is built with a diamond shape, weighs 360–375 grams and comes with a pronounced head-heavy balance. The sweetspot sits high in the racket, providing strong weight transfer when you strike the ball cleanly. The 38 mm construction and Carbon Fiber frame create a stable base that helps you stay in control during aggressive exchanges, while still keeping the racket easy to accelerate and maneuver into position for the next shot.

The core is made with EVA Soft Performance, which delivers a more elastic and comfortable impact feel than the stiffer Metalbone models. This makes the racket easier to play with, especially in pressured situations where you may not always hit the ball perfectly. The hitting surface is constructed from Carbon 6K, a flexible carbon weave that offers a balanced blend of power and comfort. With Spin Blade Decal, you get a textured surface that increases friction and makes it easy to add spin to volleys, bandejas and viboras. Smart Holes Curve supports ball grip and enhances control, while the extended Extra Power Grip increases power transfer throughout the swing.

Adidas Metalbone Carbon 2026 vs. Other Models in the Metalbone Series

The Metalbone Carbon 2026 positions itself as the most comfort-oriented diamond-shaped model in the series. Compared with the Metalbone 2026, you get a softer carbon surface and a more forgiving response without losing the ability to drive through the ball in offensive shots.

Compared with the Metalbone HRD+ 2026, this model is significantly easier to handle and far less stiff on impact. HRD+ targets the most experienced power players, while the Metalbone Carbon 2026 provides a more relaxed, elastic and user-friendly sensation.

Compared with the Metalbone CTRL 2026, the Carbon version is more power-oriented and has a higher sweetspot. The CTRL version is more control-focused, round in shape and designed for a completely different type of player.

3 tips to extend the lifespan of your padel racket

1. Use a frame protector

Fit a frame protector to your racket to minimise damage from contact with the court glass or metal mesh. It is a simple addition that may not look like much, but it can help extend the life of your racket by protecting it from knocks and scratches.

2. Avoid extreme temperatures

Store your racket at a stable room temperature. Over time, both very high and very low temperatures can weaken the foam in the racket core and reduce performance. Avoid leaving your racket in places such as a cold car boot or close to a hot radiator.

3. Protect your racket during transport

Keep your racket in a bag or cover to protect it from scratches, dirt and knocks. This is especially important during transport or storage between matches, as proper storage helps reduce wear and tear.

3 tips to get the most out of your padel racket

1. Choose the right racket for your level and playing style

Choose a racket that matches your level and playing style. New players may benefit from a racket with a softer face and a large sweetspot, while more experienced players often prefer a stiffer construction with more emphasis on precision or power.

2. Replace your overgrip regularly

Replacing your overgrip regularly helps maintain a fresh grip and improves comfort and control. A worn grip can cause the racket to slip in your hand and put extra strain on your wrist and forearm during play.

3. Upgrade your racket when the time is right

Over time, the foam in the racket core loses its elasticity and performance. This means you will no longer get the same response from your shots. If you have been using the same racket for several seasons or notice a drop in its performance, it is a sign that it is time to invest in a new one.
