The Adidas Metalbone Carbon is designed to give you the perfect mix of power and comfort!
You get plenty of power through the racket's diamond shape and head-heavy weight distribution. The comfort is provided via the 6K carbon surface and the soft EVA foam, ensuring you a forgiving padel racket with a high tolerance. Many high impact top rackets tend to punish you rather hard if you don't hit the ball really well and consistently - Metalbone Carbon is a great bet for a top power racket with a high degree of comfort.
Compared to the Metalbone 3.2 and Metalbone HRD 3.2, the Metalbone Carbon weighs about 15 grams more and has a somewhat softer surface. It is thus considerably more forgiving and more comfortable than the hard surfaces, which however provide more power. On the other hand, if you compare the racket with the Metalbone Team, which has a fibreglass surface, the Metalbone Carbon has more power.
The racket is tailored for the aggressive padel player who appreciates great hitting power and a high level of comfort with one of the slightly softer carbon surfaces.
Weight: 360-375 grams
Technologies Applied in Adidas Metalbone Carbon
EVA Soft Performance
The racket's core is made of low density EVA rubber to give you response and high comfort. This is the softest of the three types of foam that Adidas works with in their top rackets. Adidas' rackets produced with this type of rubber is marked with a black cap.
6K Carbon
Adidas operates with 6 different types of fibres, each type having a different degree of flexibility that influences the power and control ratio of the racket. The racket is made with "Carbon 6K", which is number 4 out of 6 on Adidas' list of fibres classified by flexibility. This makes it slightly above average in terms of flexibility, so you get a good mix of power and comfort with this type of carbon fibre.
Octagonal Structure
The small carbon tubes in the racket are designed in an octagonal format, making the construction of the Metalbone series stiffer than other rackets. The aim is to reward the aggressive player who continuously hits the ball well.
Spin Blade Octagonal
In the Metalbone series, Adidas use their Spin Blade Octagonal technology, which is an octagonal surface structure that enables you to add more spin to the ball.
Smart Holes Curve
A strategic placement of the racket's hole pattern that optimizes sweetspot and grip of the ball.
Structural Reinforcement
The entire racket head has been reinforced to make it even more durable and resistant to the stress and torsion that the material is exposed to.
