The K-Swiss Hypercourt Express HB is one of K-Swiss' best selling shoes. This version of the popular series comes with a herringbone pattern on the sole, making it ideal for standing firm on padel courts (and clay courts in tennis) with sand lying at the top of the surface.

Light, comfortable and breathable, the shoe has a flexible fit, making it the ideal choice for a range of playing styles and levels.

K-Swiss Durawrap Flex technology, gives the shoe great support while making it easy to play in without any break-in period, while Surgelite midsole technology provides really good comfort, which is especially beneficial in situations where you are on the padel court for several hours at a time.

3 tips to extend the lifespan of your padel shoes

1. Let your shoes dry completely after use

Let your shoes dry naturally after use, and remove the insoles if possible. Avoid placing your shoes in direct sunlight or on a radiator, as this can reduce the durability of the materials. Store them in a dry, well-ventilated place. Avoid leaving them in a closed sports bag for long periods, as moisture and heat can damage the materials and cause unpleasant odours.

2. Clean your shoes regularly

Remove dust and dirt after use by wiping your shoes with a damp cloth. You can also use a soft brush on the soles to remove sand and dirt, which would otherwise wear down the materials.

3. Only use your shoes for padel

Avoid wearing your shoes as everyday footwear or for other sports. The soles are designed for a specific surface, and using them on asphalt or other hard surfaces can significantly shorten their lifespan. Check the tread pattern and heel regularly. If they are worn down, the shoes lose grip and cushioning, which increases the risk of injury.

3 tips to get the most out of your padel shoes

1. Choose a shoe that suits the court surface

Padel courts vary in how much sand there is on the surface. The general condition of the court and the level of wear can also differ. These factors affect what you need from your footwear, so make sure to choose a shoe that matches the demands of the court. The right shoe helps you move better on court and gives you lasting comfort.

2. Play in high-quality socks

Invest in sports socks designed for padel. Good socks reduce friction, provide extra support and help keep your feet dry during play.

3. Extra cushioning? Consider insoles

If you play a lot, or simply want to reduce the risk of injury, consider upgrading your shoes with a good pair of insoles. They provide extra cushioning in the heel and reduce strain on your ankles, knees and back.
