Mizuno Wave Exceed Tour 7 CC is developed for padel and tennis, where quick first steps, explosive acceleration, and controlled direction changes are essential to your game. The shoe is built to help you push off faster, maintain stability in motion, and change direction more decisively, without the foot feeling heavy or restricted.

Faster push-offs and more direct responsiveness

Mizuno Enerzy NXT is placed in both the heel and forefoot, where impact is greatest. This means shock from the court is absorbed effectively, while energy is quickly returned into your push-off. The result is a more explosive first step and a smoother transition as you move into the next direction.

The new Mizuno Enerzy XP insole further contributes with a balanced combination of softness, responsiveness, and low weight. Underfoot, the shoe feels light yet precise, delivering a clearer connection to the court.

Fit that follows the foot’s movement

The upper has been further developed compared to the Wave Exceed Tour 6 and is shaped to follow the foot’s natural motion more closely. This provides a more secure fit where the foot stays stable without losing flexibility. The shoe wraps the foot more evenly and protects it effectively during lateral movements and sudden stops.

The improved fit makes it easier to maintain control, even when movement shifts quickly between forward sprints and side steps.

Grip and durability

The outsole is made from DX Rubber, Mizuno’s most durable rubber compound to date. This provides more secure traction on the surface and makes the shoe more resistant to repeated wear. At the same time, maneuverability is maintained, allowing you to move freely and quickly around the court.

DX Rubber especially supports stable contact during direction changes and delivers a more predictable feel when you push off at sharp angles.

3 tips to extend the lifespan of your padel shoes

1. Let your shoes dry completely after use

Let your shoes dry naturally after use, and remove the insoles if possible. Avoid placing your shoes in direct sunlight or on a radiator, as this can reduce the durability of the materials. Store them in a dry, well-ventilated place. Avoid leaving them in a closed sports bag for long periods, as moisture and heat can damage the materials and cause unpleasant odours.

2. Clean your shoes regularly

Remove dust and dirt after use by wiping your shoes with a damp cloth. You can also use a soft brush on the soles to remove sand and dirt, which would otherwise wear down the materials.

3. Only use your shoes for padel

Avoid wearing your shoes as everyday footwear or for other sports. The soles are designed for a specific surface, and using them on asphalt or other hard surfaces can significantly shorten their lifespan. Check the tread pattern and heel regularly. If they are worn down, the shoes lose grip and cushioning, which increases the risk of injury.

3 tips to get the most out of your padel shoes

1. Choose a shoe that suits the court surface

Padel courts vary in how much sand there is on the surface. The general condition of the court and the level of wear can also differ. These factors affect what you need from your footwear, so make sure to choose a shoe that matches the demands of the court. The right shoe helps you move better on court and gives you lasting comfort.

2. Play in high-quality socks

Invest in sports socks designed for padel. Good socks reduce friction, provide extra support and help keep your feet dry during play.

3. Extra cushioning? Consider insoles

If you play a lot, or simply want to reduce the risk of injury, consider upgrading your shoes with a good pair of insoles. They provide extra cushioning in the heel and reduce strain on your ankles, knees and back.
