The Stiga Cybershape 18K 2 is created for control players who want a racket with a unique blend of finesse, precision, and comfort. Building on the popular 18K Cybershape, this updated model features a refined design that provides even better balance.

Compared to the 18K Hard version, the 18K 2 is slightly softer, offering a more comfortable ball contact and making it easier to handle difficult shots from tricky angles. With a weight of 360 grams (+/- 8 g) and a neutral balance, it is a highly maneuverable racket that still delivers top-level precision. The extended handle adds flexibility and room for two-handed shots, and the racket also comes with an interchangeable wrist strap for added safety.

Materials

The frame is built with 360 Carbon Frame, made from 100% carbon fiber to ensure high impact resistance and stability. The hitting surface is made from 18K Carbon Silver Weave, where the carbon fiber weave is reinforced and finished with an exclusive silver treatment to create a surface that combines control and responsiveness. The surface also features a rough texture called Crystal Grip, which maximizes spin and helps you place the ball with greater precision.

Comparison

Compared to the Stiga Cybershape 18K Hard, the 18K 2 is a more forgiving control racket. While the Hard version has a stiffer feel and is aimed at offensive players, the 18K 2 delivers a softer ball contact that better suits players who prioritize control and comfort.

3 tips to extend the lifespan of your padel racket

1. Use a frame protector

Fit a frame protector to your racket to minimise damage from contact with the court glass or metal mesh. It is a simple addition that may not look like much, but it can help extend the life of your racket by protecting it from knocks and scratches.

2. Avoid extreme temperatures

Store your racket at a stable room temperature. Over time, both very high and very low temperatures can weaken the foam in the racket core and reduce performance. Avoid leaving your racket in places such as a cold car boot or close to a hot radiator.

3. Protect your racket during transport

Keep your racket in a bag or cover to protect it from scratches, dirt and knocks. This is especially important during transport or storage between matches, as proper storage helps reduce wear and tear.

3 tips to get the most out of your padel racket

1. Choose the right racket for your level and playing style

Choose a racket that matches your level and playing style. New players may benefit from a racket with a softer face and a large sweetspot, while more experienced players often prefer a stiffer construction with more emphasis on precision or power.

2. Replace your overgrip regularly

Replacing your overgrip regularly helps maintain a fresh grip and improves comfort and control. A worn grip can cause the racket to slip in your hand and put extra strain on your wrist and forearm during play.

3. Upgrade your racket when the time is right

Over time, the foam in the racket core loses its elasticity and performance. This means you will no longer get the same response from your shots. If you have been using the same racket for several seasons or notice a drop in its performance, it is a sign that it is time to invest in a new one.
