Stiga Cybershape 18K: Full control in every shot

Looking for a padel racket with exceptional control? Then the Stiga Cybershape 18K is the perfect choice. Slightly softer in construction than its twin, the Stiga Cybershape 18K Hard, it provides a softer ball contact with maximum control in difficult shots. The reinforced carbon surface combined with an exclusive silver treatment binds the fibres together, creating a hitting surface that delivers finesse without sacrificing speed or precision. In short: the ideal racket for the control-oriented padel player.

Like the other models in the Cybershape series, the Cybershape 18K features the unique hexagonal head shape that provides a larger and more optimised hitting area. According to Stiga, this design increases the sweet spot by 20% and positions it higher on the racket head compared to traditional padel rackets. This makes it easier to hit the ball cleanly even under pressure. The straight edges also make it easier to play close to the glass and floor.

The frame is made from 100% carbon using 360° Carbon Frame technology, which ensures high responsiveness and helps you handle powerful shots from your opponent.

The hitting surface is equipped with a textured Crystal Grip finish that maximises spin and adds extra control. The extended handle allows for a two-handed grip, giving you more flexibility on court. The racket also comes with a detachable wrist strap that is easy to replace.

3 tips to extend the lifespan of your padel racket

1. Use a frame protector

Fit a frame protector to your racket to minimise damage from contact with the court glass or metal mesh. It is a simple addition that may not look like much, but it can help extend the life of your racket by protecting it from knocks and scratches.

2. Avoid extreme temperatures

Store your racket at a stable room temperature. Over time, both very high and very low temperatures can weaken the foam in the racket core and reduce performance. Avoid leaving your racket in places such as a cold car boot or close to a hot radiator.

3. Protect your racket during transport

Keep your racket in a bag or cover to protect it from scratches, dirt and knocks. This is especially important during transport or storage between matches, as proper storage helps reduce wear and tear.

3 tips to get the most out of your padel racket

1. Choose the right racket for your level and playing style

Choose a racket that matches your level and playing style. New players may benefit from a racket with a softer face and a large sweetspot, while more experienced players often prefer a stiffer construction with more emphasis on precision or power.

2. Replace your overgrip regularly

Replacing your overgrip regularly helps maintain a fresh grip and improves comfort and control. A worn grip can cause the racket to slip in your hand and put extra strain on your wrist and forearm during play.

3. Upgrade your racket when the time is right

Over time, the foam in the racket core loses its elasticity and performance. This means you will no longer get the same response from your shots. If you have been using the same racket for several seasons or notice a drop in its performance, it is a sign that it is time to invest in a new one.
