The Wilson Defy LS V1 is a lightweight and powerful padel racket that cuts quickly through the air and generates plenty of spin. Designed for experienced players, it is the lightest model in the Defy series, where Comfort Flex Face and Power Foam technologies ensure both comfort and explosive output in every shot. This effect is further enhanced by I-Beam technology, which increases frame stability and stiffness.

The diamond shape makes it easy to generate power, while Aeroexact Design technology and the 355-gram weight provide excellent maneuverability. The surface is equipped with Spin^2 Texture, improving grip on the ball and maximizing spin, while the Duo Grid Hole Pattern combines larger holes at the top for added power with smaller holes at the bottom for enhanced control and precision.

The Defy series is Wilson’s latest addition to its padel lineup. The Defy LS V1 is the lightest and most maneuverable racket in the series. If you prefer more stability and weight behind your shots, you may want to consider the other rackets in the lineup—the Defy Pro V1 or Defy V1.

3 tips to extend the lifespan of your padel racket

1. Use a frame protector

Fit a frame protector to your racket to minimise damage from contact with the court glass or metal mesh. It is a simple addition that may not look like much, but it can help extend the life of your racket by protecting it from knocks and scratches.

2. Avoid extreme temperatures

Store your racket at a stable room temperature. Over time, both very high and very low temperatures can weaken the foam in the racket core and reduce performance. Avoid leaving your racket in places such as a cold car boot or close to a hot radiator.

3. Protect your racket during transport

Keep your racket in a bag or cover to protect it from scratches, dirt and knocks. This is especially important during transport or storage between matches, as proper storage helps reduce wear and tear.

3 tips to get the most out of your padel racket

1. Choose the right racket for your level and playing style

Choose a racket that matches your level and playing style. New players may benefit from a racket with a softer face and a large sweetspot, while more experienced players often prefer a stiffer construction with more emphasis on precision or power.

2. Replace your overgrip regularly

Replacing your overgrip regularly helps maintain a fresh grip and improves comfort and control. A worn grip can cause the racket to slip in your hand and put extra strain on your wrist and forearm during play.

3. Upgrade your racket when the time is right

Over time, the foam in the racket core loses its elasticity and performance. This means you will no longer get the same response from your shots. If you have been using the same racket for several seasons or notice a drop in its performance, it is a sign that it is time to invest in a new one.
