The Oxdog Sense Match offers casual and intermediate padel players a racket with superb control and precision that's easy to play with.

The racket has a round headshape and is made from materials that give you plenty of feel and control in your strokes. It's also ideal for those who want to prevent classic overuse injuries such as tennis elbow or sore wrists, as the Oxdog Sense Match is very forgiving - even if you don't hit the ball exactly in the centre every time.

The weight distribution in the racket is neutral, so even though we are dealing with a control racket, you can still get plenty of speed in your shots.

Compared to the Oxdog Sense Pro and Sense Tour, the Sense Match differs in the choice of materials. The racket's frame is made of composite, and the foam is significantly softer. This results in less hitting power, but in return you get a padel racket that is easy to play with and does not stress key areas like the wrist, elbow and shoulder, which many casual players struggle with.

Design-wise, the racket is crisp in light blue and white shades. The weight of the racket is slightly below average, making it relatively easy to manoeuvre around the padel court.

Oxdog Sense Series

Sense is Oxdog's control series of padel rackets offering you astonishing control and precision provided their round headshape. The Sense series is targeted padel players enjoying the defensive game and building up rallies with patience and accuracy.

Technologies

Oxdog pride themselves on being among the leaders on the technology front, and they has indeed managed to implement some highly interesting features that are all focused towards helping you take your padel to the next level.

PowerRibs

Located at the top of the racket head, Oxdog have placed their PowerRibs, which ensure you have more hitting power without having to use more effort. The technology involves the PowerRibs™ in combination with Oxdog's High Energy System™ carbon transferring the power of your stroke at a higher speed.

RBS - Racket Balance System

Oxdog's Racket Balance System (RBS) includes two removable weights that allow you to change the weight and balance of the racket to suit your personal preferences. For example, this allows you to reduce the weight of the racket and make it even more maneuverable.

DSH - Double Size Hole Pattern

The Double Size Hole Pattern gives you significantly improved contact with the ball. When you hit outside the sweetspot, many top rackets punish you with a worse contact with the ball, however this technology improves playability outside the sweetspot while maximizing your power.

Vibradamp

In addition to improving contact with the ball outside the sweetspot, Oxdog's Vibradamp system ensures less vibration in the racket. Vibradamp includes that the racket is built with a three-layer design that reduces stress on your wrist, elbow and shoulder. If you want to prevent injuries in these areas, or if you already struggle with them, the Oxdog padel racket is a great option.

3 Tips on How to Extend the Lifespan of Your Padel Racket

Use a frame protector

Apply a frame protector to your racket to minimize damage from hits against the glass walls or the fence. This simple addition can significantly extend the lifespan of your racket by protecting it from knocks and scratches.

Avoid extreme temperatures

Store your racket in a room with stable temperatures. Avoid leaving it in a hot car or a cold garage, as extreme temperatures can weaken the materials and affect the racket’s performance over time.

Transport your racket safely

Always keep your racket in a bag or a cover to protect it from scratches, dirt, and knocks. This is especially important when traveling or storing the racket between games, as proper storage reduces wear and tear.

3 Tips on How to Get the Most Out of Your Padel Racket

Choose the right racket for your level and style

Pick a racket that suits your playing level and preferred style of play. Beginners might benefit from a racket with a larger sweetspot, while advanced players often prefer a more precise or powerful racket tailored to their game.

Replace your overgrip regularly

Changing the overgrip frequently keeps your racket feeling fresh and ensures a firm, comfortable grip. Worn-out grips can lead to slipping and strain on your hand during play.

Upgrade your racket when needed

Over time, the foam in the core of the racket loses its performance, resulting in reduced power and control. If you’ve used the same racket for several seasons or notice a drop in performance, consider investing in a new one to maintain your game at its best.
