Wilson Bela Pro Padel V2.5 is especially suitable for the advanced player who wants raw power. This is achieved not least through the racket's weight of 370, a relatively hard frame and a teardrop-shaped head with the weight placed neutral to head-heavy. In addition, with the 'Primero Carbon Face' technology, Wilson has implemented premium carbon in the racket's frame to add both plenty of power and quick response to the shot.

Compared to last season's model, the new version has an improved sweetspot and a more consistent feel across a larger area of the face due to the hole pattern. The Bela Pro V2.5 is still stiff in construction, giving you sublime output when hitting the ball cleanly.

Wilson has manufactured the face of the bat with their Spin Effect texture, which gives you a great grip on the ball.

The racket is the hardest and heaviest in the Bela series, so when you hit the ball well, you're really rewarded. On the other hand, you are then penalized more severely for your off-centre hits compared to the Bela Elite edition, which is produced with a softer core.

3 tips to extend the lifespan of your padel racket

1. Use a frame protector

Fit a frame protector to your racket to minimise damage from contact with the court glass or metal mesh. It is a simple addition that may not look like much, but it can help extend the life of your racket by protecting it from knocks and scratches.

2. Avoid extreme temperatures

Store your racket at a stable room temperature. Over time, both very high and very low temperatures can weaken the foam in the racket core and reduce performance. Avoid leaving your racket in places such as a cold car boot or close to a hot radiator.

3. Protect your racket during transport

Keep your racket in a bag or cover to protect it from scratches, dirt and knocks. This is especially important during transport or storage between matches, as proper storage helps reduce wear and tear.

3 tips to get the most out of your padel racket

1. Choose the right racket for your level and playing style

Choose a racket that matches your level and playing style. New players may benefit from a racket with a softer face and a large sweetspot, while more experienced players often prefer a stiffer construction with more emphasis on precision or power.

2. Replace your overgrip regularly

Replacing your overgrip regularly helps maintain a fresh grip and improves comfort and control. A worn grip can cause the racket to slip in your hand and put extra strain on your wrist and forearm during play.

3. Upgrade your racket when the time is right

Over time, the foam in the racket core loses its elasticity and performance. This means you will no longer get the same response from your shots. If you have been using the same racket for several seasons or notice a drop in its performance, it is a sign that it is time to invest in a new one.
