Babolat Air Veron 2.6 is developed with a clear focus on speed and versatility. It is aimed at the modern all-round player who wants a flexible racket that reacts quickly without compromising on comfort and control.

Racket construction

The lightweight construction of just 355 grams combined with a neutral balance makes the Air Veron 2.6 easy to manoeuvre both at the net and in defensive situations. The sweetspot is positioned slightly higher along the centre of the hitting surface, providing extra assistance in offensive shots while maintaining a stable and controlled feel.

The surface is built with Carbon Flex, a combination of carbon and fibreglass that delivers a more flexible and comfortable ball contact. This gives you easy access to power without the racket feeling hard or placing unnecessary strain on your elbow. The Black EVA core contributes with a pleasant response and good tolerance, making the racket particularly suitable for long rallies where both physical endurance and hitting arm are tested.

Air Veron 2.6 vs Air Viper 2.6 and Air Vertuo 2.6

As in previous seasons, the Air Veron 2.6 is positioned between the Vertuo and Viper series in Babolat’s range. You get more stability and precision than with Vertuo, but a more forgiving and comfort-oriented setup than with Viper. This makes the racket ideal for advanced all-round players who want a fast and versatile racket with broad usability and high playability.

3 tips to extend the lifespan of your padel racket

1. Use a frame protector

Fit a frame protector to your racket to minimise damage from contact with the court glass or metal mesh. It is a simple addition that may not look like much, but it can help extend the life of your racket by protecting it from knocks and scratches.

2. Avoid extreme temperatures

Store your racket at a stable room temperature. Over time, both very high and very low temperatures can weaken the foam in the racket core and reduce performance. Avoid leaving your racket in places such as a cold car boot or close to a hot radiator.

3. Protect your racket during transport

Keep your racket in a bag or cover to protect it from scratches, dirt and knocks. This is especially important during transport or storage between matches, as proper storage helps reduce wear and tear.

3 tips to get the most out of your padel racket

1. Choose the right racket for your level and playing style

Choose a racket that matches your level and playing style. New players may benefit from a racket with a softer face and a large sweetspot, while more experienced players often prefer a stiffer construction with more emphasis on precision or power.

2. Replace your overgrip regularly

Replacing your overgrip regularly helps maintain a fresh grip and improves comfort and control. A worn grip can cause the racket to slip in your hand and put extra strain on your wrist and forearm during play.

3. Upgrade your racket when the time is right

Over time, the foam in the racket core loses its elasticity and performance. This means you will no longer get the same response from your shots. If you have been using the same racket for several seasons or notice a drop in its performance, it is a sign that it is time to invest in a new one.
