Babolat Air Viper 2022 Padel Racket is part of the new "Viper" series from Babolat, which is not to be confused with the power racket Viper Carbon from 2020. This high-end series is based on a philosophy of new player types, which deals with the fact that everyone can win the rally, but that there are differences in how to arrive at the decision of it. Air Viper suits the dynamic player who uses his speed to conquer the net and puts pressure on his opponents. To accommodate this style of play, the Air Viper is designed as an extremely maneuverable racket weighing just 355 grams with a head light balance. The head shape is a newly developed teardrop shape, which Babolat calls a "hybrid", designed for power without the racket having to be head heavy.

The racket's grip is longer than most other rackets, which suits players who use 2-handed backhands. The racket's outer core/foam is a bit hard, while the inner core/foam is softer for comfort. The racket also features the "Vibrasorb system", which is designed to take care of any vibrations that may settle in the arm.

The new Viper series is built around the following features: Explosive power - The combination of X-Eva foam (newly developed 3-layer foam) and carbon surface, ensures masses of impact power.3D spin - a ridge pattern on the surface with a matte finish, which provides good ball control and spin capability.
