The Osaka Pro Tour Tech 2022 is aimed at advanced players who want a teardrop-shaped racket with great hitting power. The racket's core is hard, so you'll be rewarded extra when you hit the ball well and consistently. As Osaka has announced, it sacrifices a bit of the racket's sweet spot for greater precision and power. This is to ensure you still have plenty of accuracy despite the racket being a power racket with a teardrop-shaped head as a starting point.
Like the other padel rackets in Osaka's Pro Tour range, the Pro Tour Tech 2022 has been fitted with a number of premium technologies. For example, the racket's surface has a "sandy" touch to give you extra feel with the ball. When you hit the ball in the sweetspot, 18k carbon gives you plenty of power in your stroke.
Compared to the 2021 version, Osaka has managed to reduce the width of the frame by 20% without compromising its performance. On the contrary, according to Osaka, the narrower frame makes the sweetspot bigger and the 2022 bat easier to play.
All in all, a top-class padel bat that lies in the middle ground between all-round and power.
