The Varlion Bourne Summum Prisma W padel racket is made for experienced players who want a racket from the top shelf. The Bourne model is a fusion between their Canon (diamond shape) and their Avant (drop shape), making the racket ideal for padel players who don't want to compromise on hitting power. The combination of the teardrop and diamant head shapes, however, also means that this racket is not only about power as it also provides good control.
The Bourne Summum Prisma W is made with Varlion's PRISMA frame, which reduces the point of contact with walls and surfaces by as much as 90% and air resistance by up to 10%. This results in a maneuverable racket that is easier to accelerate.
The racket head is extra reinforced against wear and tear with Varlion's Prisma bumber. The surface is rough with contours that provide extra grip on the ball and optimal contact with the racket.
Similar to Babolat' rackets, Varlion has made the handle slightly longer to facilitate a two-handed backhand in those pressured situations.
Please note that Varlion offers two rackets in the Bourne Summum Prisma series, ending in a W and an S respectively. Therefore, to eliminate the impact of temperature on the racket's playing characteristics, it has been produced with two types of rubber - a soft "W" and a harder "S". The Varlion Bourne Summum Prisma W is designed for play in temperatures from 25 degrees and below, while the Varlion Bourne Summum Prisma S is designed for padel in temperatures from 25 degrees and up.
