Radical is Head's new range of padel rackets with teardrop-shaped heads. The intention of the new series is to offer us a teardrop-shaped racket that is weighted more towards control than the brand's previous models.

The Head Radical Motion 2024 is characterized by a low weight of 355 grams and great versatility. This is achieved through a teardrop-shaped head, a neutral weight distribution and a 3k carbon surface. The bat has been made slightly lighter and less head-heavy than previous models, which is why Head itself puts the racket in the control segment.

Compared to the other two rackets in the Radical series, Radical Motion is the lightest. This makes it ideal for the player who values maneuverability and versatility. The racket is made for those quick reactions up at the net, where the ball is coming fast and you have to make a split-second decision on your shot selection.

Technologies of the Head Radical Motion 2024

Control Foam

The foam in the core of the racket is Head's 'Control Foam', which ensures an enhanced sweetspot and feeling in your ball strikes.

Smart Bridge

The bridge of the racket is specifically designed to support the characteristics of the racket and give you maximum benefit in every stroke.

Optimized Sweetspot

The hole pattern is developed to enhance the characteristics of the racket and optimize the sweetspot.

Soft Butt Cap

This technology involves shock-absorbing rubber implemented at the bottom of the shaft. It reduces vibration up through the grip and spares your arm and elbow.

Tailored Frame

The frame construction is produced from small tube sections which are individually designed to give the racket the best possible performance.

Auxetic

The racket is made with auxetic materials that expand when stretched and subjected to pressure. This improves contact with the ball at the moment of impact.

Graphene Inside

The frame of the racket is strengthened in specific areas to provide more stability and increased power transfer in the stroke.

3 Tips on How to Extend the Lifespan of Your Padel Racket

Use a frame protector

Apply a frame protector to your racket to minimize damage from hits against the glass walls or the fence. This simple addition can significantly extend the lifespan of your racket by protecting it from knocks and scratches.

Avoid extreme temperatures

Store your racket in a room with stable temperatures. Avoid leaving it in a hot car or a cold garage, as extreme temperatures can weaken the materials and affect the racket’s performance over time.

Transport your racket safely

Always keep your racket in a bag or a cover to protect it from scratches, dirt, and knocks. This is especially important when traveling or storing the racket between games, as proper storage reduces wear and tear.

3 Tips on How to Get the Most Out of Your Padel Racket

Choose the right racket for your level and style

Pick a racket that suits your playing level and preferred style of play. Beginners might benefit from a racket with a larger sweetspot, while advanced players often prefer a more precise or powerful racket tailored to their game.

Replace your overgrip regularly

Changing the overgrip frequently keeps your racket feeling fresh and ensures a firm, comfortable grip. Worn-out grips can lead to slipping and strain on your hand during play.

Upgrade your racket when needed

Over time, the foam in the core of the racket loses its performance, resulting in reduced power and control. If you’ve used the same racket for several seasons or notice a drop in performance, consider investing in a new one to maintain your game at its best.
