For the control-seeking padel player who also prefers a comfortable racket, the Adidas Metalbone Carbon CTRL 3.3 is an obvious option.
The comfort is provided by the 6K carbon surface and the soft EVA foam, which ensures a forgiving racket with a high tolerance. The racket is designed for advanced players, which is why the frame is still relatively stiff due to the 'Octagonal Structure' and 'Structural Reinforcement' technologies that Adidas has implemented. This gives you a control racket that still allows you to put plenty of speed on the ball to turn defense into offense.
Compared to the Metalbone CTRL 3.3, the Metalbone Carbon CTRL 3.3 does not have Adidas' weight and balance system with adjustable weights, and the Carbon CTRL 3.3 has a softer surface. This makes the Metalbone CTRL 3.3 more comfortable and forgiving to play with than the Metalbone CTRL 3.3, which provides more power. In addition, the Carbon CTRL 3.3 weighs about 15 grams more, giving you a bit more stability.

Technologies Applied in Adidas Metalbone Carbon CTRL 3.3
EVA Soft Performance
The racket's core is made of low density EVA rubber to give you response and high comfort. This is the softest of the three types of foam that Adidas works with in their top rackets. Adidas' rackets produced with this type of rubber is marked with a black cap.
6K Carbon
Adidas operates with 8 different types of fibers, where each type has a different degree of flexibility that affects the racket's power and control. The racket is made with "Carbon 6K", which is number 4 out of 8 on Adidas' list of fibers ranked by flexibility. This is slightly above average in terms of flexibility, so you get a good mix of power and comfort with this type of carbon fiber.
Octagonal Structure
The small carbon tubes in the racket are designed in an octagonal format, making the construction of the Metalbone series stiffer than other rackets. The aim is to reward the aggressive player who continuously hits the ball well.
Spin Blade Decal
In the Metalbone series, Adidas use their Spin Blade Decal technology, which is an octagonal surface structure that enables you to add more spin to the ball ang provides you with an additional feeling of control.
Smart Holes Curve
A strategic placement of the racket's hole pattern that optimizes sweetspot and grip of the ball.
Structural Reinforcement
The entire racket head has been reinforced to make it even more durable and resistant to the stress and torsion that the material is exposed to.

3 tips to extend the lifespan of your padel racket
1. Use a frame protector
Fit a frame protector to your racket to minimise damage from contact with the court glass or metal mesh. It is a simple addition that may not look like much, but it can help extend the life of your racket by protecting it from knocks and scratches.
2. Avoid extreme temperatures
Store your racket at a stable room temperature. Over time, both very high and very low temperatures can weaken the foam in the racket core and reduce performance. Avoid leaving your racket in places such as a cold car boot or close to a hot radiator.
3. Protect your racket during transport
Keep your racket in a bag or cover to protect it from scratches, dirt and knocks. This is especially important during transport or storage between matches, as proper storage helps reduce wear and tear.
3 tips to get the most out of your padel racket
1. Choose the right racket for your level and playing style
Choose a racket that matches your level and playing style. New players may benefit from a racket with a softer face and a large sweetspot, while more experienced players often prefer a stiffer construction with more emphasis on precision or power.
2. Replace your overgrip regularly
Replacing your overgrip regularly helps maintain a fresh grip and improves comfort and control. A worn grip can cause the racket to slip in your hand and put extra strain on your wrist and forearm during play.
3. Upgrade your racket when the time is right
Over time, the foam in the racket core loses its elasticity and performance. This means you will no longer get the same response from your shots. If you have been using the same racket for several seasons or notice a drop in its performance, it is a sign that it is time to invest in a new one.
